Louisville’s inaugural Awards in the Arts presented by Brown-Forman & Delta Dental of Kentucky was established to celebrate the extraordinary arts community in the Greater Louisville region and the arts tremendous contribution to our unique cultural landscape and quality of place. The breadth and diversity of Louisville’s arts community makes it the energetic, creative and livable city that it is. It also helps drive economic development, as companies want to locate in communities that have an active and varied arts community for employees and families to enjoy. Fund for the Arts, Jennifer Lawrence Foundation and Churchill Downs partnered to celebrate the artists themselves, their talent and passion, to create, produce and present transformative and inspiring works of arts, in and for our community. Award recipients were celebrated by 750+ guests in the newly renovated Stakes Room and by thousands of horse racing fans throughout Opening Night.
