Basically, it is a new nonprofit drug research and development organization. The new company is based in India and is called MSD Wellcome Trust Hilleman Laboratories.
The main goal of the new project will be the modernization of existing and the development of innovative drugs for immunization against diseases that are widespread among the population of third-world countries.
